Brno

The Team took a trip to Brno Race Circuit with Redline trackdays. What an amazing experience. All our five riders took to the track on Friday morning in beautiful sunshine and what a track it is. All practice sessions are timed to ensure safety & also to establish the grid positions for the weekends racing. Saturday saw Sammi qualify in 45th in the ladies cup & the x2 New Generation race. After a typical "Sammi " start she finished the race in 10th overall and 4th lady over the line ( second 600 to finish on her stock GSXR 600). Her fastest time of the weekend was 2.20.8 - 15 seconds quicker than her first track session.

Andrew took part in a 2 hour three rider endurance race, with a Le Mans style start. The team consisted off Andrew, Oliver & Tom Harrison, What an absolute blast it was. The pit crew were awesome, slick transponder change overs and since we didn't have our pit board we used plastic tub lids with duct tape writing to communicate with the riders on track.... The team were climbing back up the leader board when a safety car came into play following an incident on track and with 25 minutes to go the team were 7th. As safety is paramount the red flag was displayed with 20 minutes to go and the team finished an impressive 7th overall and 1st British team over the line.

Sunday saw the X2 Generation race with Paw T qualifying 20th on the Stuart Young Tuning 2011 ZX10, Colin qualified 32nd & Gaz was 37th. Paw T hadn't managed to complete more than 4 laps so was not looking forward to a sighting lap, warm up lap then a 7 lap race. He finished in a very respectable 23rd place with Colin in 28th. Lap times had improved dramatically. Gaz had to retire due to a technical issue.

This just left Andrew to race in the Superbike 1 class. Andrew qualified 18th and by the end of lap 1 was up to 4th. After a hard 9 laps he finished 5th overall with a new PB of the weekend of 2.09.370 on his Motorcycle Law Scotland ZX10R Fellow Redline team mate Olly finished a fantastic 3rd.
